The Russian walked through
the lush gardens to the pathway that separated the turquoise triangular pools.
He leant against one of the Grecian pillars bordering the crazy-paving path, and
stared into the gently rippling blue water. He was oblivious to the heat of the
day. It was mid-morning in August, and out where the steel-blue sky met the sea,
a shimmer had already formed; this was a sure sign of higher temperatures to
