Heart Crest
By Martin Nuza The innocent lives of the inhabitants of Gill-Falls – a quiet and peaceful town in the heart of England, will no longer be the same again after the brutal escape of a deranged sociopath from a mental hospital in 1954, who left a trail of bodies so macabre and violent in its wake, it created a manhunt so intense unlike England has ever seen before. It will take the dedication, patience and determination of detective sergeant Louis Hill to track down this monster and try to stop the unavoidable massacre that is clearly unfolding with every passing second by the sociopath’s unstoppable and unyielding wrath. Sergeant Hill himself suffers from traumatic episodes that frequently impair his concentration and willingness to solve the case rapidly. With the help of his loving wife, Hill confronts all manner of obstacles that lie in his path with the sole objective of uncovering the mystery behind the killings and prevent the spillage of more innocent blood before time runs out, but he has to be strong as many lives are at stake, including his very own. Speed is of the essence and Hill knows it, especially as his own vulnerable family are also at the mercy of this insane sociopath, whose identity is a mystery beyond imagination, culminating in a desperate hunt for survival on both sides. A military barrack stands only a few miles from the town of Gill-Falls and a new intake of recruits undergo their regular call up training at the hands of a ruthless Regimental Sergeant-Major who is determined to work these recruits without remorse in order to break them and turn them into professional fighting soldiers. Detail is of paramount importance and a list of suspects is quickly gathered, but no one really knows who the killer truly is and it’s only a matter of time before the entire town falls victim to this mysterious sociopath who only has one agenda – revenge.
