Starting in the days of the reign of Pharaoh Niuserre Izi during the fifth dynasty (in 2,410 B.C.) the prologue tells how Hakeem, the High Priest, and his six senior priests hide a large wooden crate in a secret chamber high up on the side of the Red pyramid during a sandstorm. A large box is later dumped at sea. Chapter One moves to the present day and to the narrative of Mr. Michael Evans the curator of a small museum in Cairo. He tells of the discovery of some strange hieroglyphics on a basalt stone tablet found in Alexandria by his eccentric friend Professor Freeman. Mike fears for his life when the private detective he foolishly hired to follow his girlfriend, Helena Rogers, (a young newspaper reporter working in Cairo) is violently murdered. The story develops as Helena and Professor Freeman investigate the strange basalt stone tablet. However, Helena has a very secret agenda. Finding that they cannot use a stolen Nano machine, aliens trace a Ziron spaceship to Earth and try to take a Nano machine controller from an Earth Nano cavern.
